OUR STUDIO

HJL Studio is a professional design and build practice in the field of architecture and interior design that provides progressive, yet functional design solutions tailored to each client's needs.  Based in Seoul, Korea, HJL Studio was established by Heejae Lee on the grounds that a "good" design is one that maximizes a clients resources and becomes an asset, not a liability.

Working closely with skilled professionals, we provide our clients with a design solution that is trendy while still being timeless in appearance. Our practice serves our clients on a very personal, yet professional level and strives to find the best design solution in which artistic innovation meets practical functionality.

ABOUT HEEJAE LEE

Heejae Lee was born in Korea and raised in the United States during his formative years.  After completing his studies in architecture at Pratt Institute in New York, he returned to Korea to begin his professional career.

Raised by a father who is an architect and a mother who is a photographer, he was exposed to the world of art and design since his early years. At the same time, his early exposure to both the western and eastern culture has led him to understand the merits of each and develop an aesthetic combination that reflects and satisfies both cultures. Prior to establishing hjl studio, he worked at Hanul Architects & Engineers, Inc. for five years under the tutelage of his father, Sung Kwan Lee.
